A Note from your Board Chair

Adam Thompson,
FocalPoint Business Coaching
Happy March, fellow Chamber members! Spring is right around the corner! They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Or maybe that’s April, and it might be in like a badger and a bunny….either way, it is 52 and sunny outside as I write this, so we are making progress!
Worthy ventures require time and energy to see value. The Chamber is no different. The more effort you put into engaging with events and members, the more return you will see. I’ve been a Chamber member since I opened my business in 2016, and can sincerely say that the Wayzata West Metro Chamber has been a blessing to me, personally and professionally.
As always, there is a ton of activity around the Chamber this month. Here is the run-down: The Leadership Luncheon: Meet the Mayors/State of the Cities (March 13), Welcome Visit & Ribbon Cutting Celebration for Slick City Maple Grove (March 18), Minnetonka Business Council (March 19), and NEW – Wayzata Business Council (March 20).
Plus, the Wayzata Art Experience is June 21 & 22! The application for interested artists closes on Wednesday, March 19. Do you know a talented individual looking to share their work? Tell them to apply! Sponsorships are available and a great way to get your business in front of 20,000. Reach out to Brooke Beyer, brooke@wayzatawestmetrochamber.com, to learn more. There’s also an opportunity to join the Wayzata Art Experience committee. If you are interested in learning more, reach out to the Chamber today!
No matter where you are in your membership experience, I encourage you to get involved — volunteer, join a group like Chamber Ambassadors or the EmpowHER Women’s Network and more. Do you have questions about what engagement might look like for you? Reach out to the staff, board members, or me. I promise that you will get more out than you put in.
Have a wonderful March, everyone. I’ll see you around town!
