What is the Wayzata West Metro Chamber?
We are a local nonprofit organization (501c6) whose goal is to further the interests of our 400+ business members and promote the West Metro area. We are a resource to local business members and are backed by a Board of Directors comprised of business professionals from our community. We also produce the major community festivals in Wayzata.
Did the Chamber change its name?
Yes, we did! The Wayzata West Metro Chamber is formally known as the Greater Wayzata Area Chamber. The name change reflects our evolution and the growing regional nature of our membership. We wanted a name that represents not only our roots in Wayzata but also our commitment to serving businesses and communities across the west metro.
Does this mean the Chamber is moving away from Wayzata?
Not at all. Wayzata remains central to our identity and operations. Our new name simply acknowledges the broader scope of our work and the regional collaboration that defines our mission.
What communities does the Chamber serve?
The Wayzata West Metro Chamber proudly serves businesses and organizations in Corcoran, Hopkins, Long Lake, Medina, Minnetonka, Orono, Plymouth, and Wayzata. Businesses in neighboring communities are also welcome to join and participate in Chamber activities.
Are you affiliated with the City of Wayzata?
We are a separate organization from city entities including the City of Wayzata.
