The Wayzata West Metro Chamber — for more than 80 years has been a cornerstone of business and civic engagement in one of Minnesota’s most vibrant regions — is seeking its next President & Executive Director to lead the organization into an exciting new chapter of growth and excellence.
About the Role
As the President & Executive Director, you’ll serve as the strategic and operational leader of the Chamber, guiding its mission to strengthen local businesses, foster community vitality, and promote the west metro as a premier destination to live, work, and visit.
You’ll be the Chamber’s chief advocate, connector, and communicator — working closely with business leaders, city officials, and civic partners to continue to support togetherness and community support. From leading key events to steering strategic initiatives and elevating member value, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact every single day.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Board of Directors to shape and execute strategic goals.
- Lead membership growth and engagement initiatives that strengthen our business community.
- Oversee staff, programs, and finances to ensure organizational excellence.
- Champion events, festivals, and communications that promote the west metro region.
- Serve as the face of the Chamber — inspiring collaboration, partnerships, and civic pride.
What You Bring
- Proven leadership experience in a chamber, association, nonprofit, or business organization.
- Strong understanding of community development, local government, and small business needs.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building skills and public speaking skills.
- Strategic and operational acumen with the ability to turn vision into action.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, and digital communications tools.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leadership experience, preferred.
- Familiarity with the west metro region is a plus.
