Dan Turk is a teacher and educator in Thunder Bay who runs the non-profit Sailing into S.T.E.M., with a goal to get kids interested in STEM careers through learning about physics and technology behind sailing. Last July, he set sail on a solo, transatlantic 33 – day journey from Nova Scotia to Portugal on his hand-built boat , Little Bea. Come learn about boatbuilding and his around-the-world plans!
