Wayzata Chilly Open Turns 40!

A Totally Tubular Winter Tradition Returns!
February 7 – 8, 2025

What began 40 years ago as a small, quirky idea to bring some fun to Minnesota’s coldest month has become one of the state’s most cherished winter events. Each year, over 2,000 golfers from across the globe dress up in themed costumes and hit the ice with their golf clubs and hockey sticks to putt tennis balls across four creative 9-hole courses on Lake Minnetonka. This year’s theme, BORN IN ’84, promises a rad and retro celebration! Assemble your squad, grab your 80s gear, and join us for the ultimate winter festival.

Join us for the Golf Tournament

Wayzata Bay will be filled with over 2,000 golfers on Saturday, February 8 for this year’s BORN IN ’84 Chilly Open! Golfers will play a round, head to the 19th Hole tent and enjoy live music by ”PowerTap” band on the Gordon James stage while tasting some of the best chili from 13 local restaurants competing in the Chili Cookoff Contest.
