A Note from your Board Chair

Adam Thompson,
FocalPoint Business Coaching
You’re either reading this on the way to the cabin to celebrate the 4th (while someone ELSE drives, please!), or a week after it came out, now that the long holiday weekend is over and you are digging through your inbox. Depending on which side you fall, I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July.
We are in the time of year when the Wayzata West Metro Chamber starts cooking! We just finished a phenomenal Wayzata Art Experience that featured 150 talented local artists and some wonderful wine from Everly Farms Winery, our Presenting Sponsor. And yes, we POURED wine by the glass all weekend– we are classing it up on Lake St.
Looking into July, there is so much happening with the Chamber. The 4th of July weekend of course, brings some wonderful ways to engage in our communities. Click here to check out Music in Plymouth and Wayzata’s Broadway Kiddie Parade and Olympics.
During the week of July 16 – 20, Crazy Days is happening on Lake St. Make sure to get out and support our local businesses plus see what deals and steal they will be offering!
Finally, our Annual Member Picnic is July 24th from 4-6 at the Historic Wayzata Depot. This is a great time to come together, meet other members, and enjoy a gorgeous lakeside view while celebrating YOU, the amazing Chamber Member! RSVP to the event by clicking here.
To close, I want to share some news that our Chamber is growing, with new members from new communities joining every month. Membership is an opportunity for ALL of us– to make new friends, build personal and professional relationships, and find helpful businesses resources. This can only happen when we engage in the Chamber. The Staff and leadership have worked hard to build WWMC into a Chamber that has something for all our Members, and there is something here for you! If you have not found it, reach out to a fellow member, leadership, or me. Let’s get you plugged in!
See you around town,
Adam
