Dear Chamber Members and Friends,
As we settle into summer, we want to share some highlights from recent events and look ahead to what’s next for our vibrant community.
What’s coming up: The James J. Hill Days Street Market Application is due Wednesday, July 1! Lake Minnetonka’s largest 3-day festival, presented by Sandvold Financial Group, is coming up September 11–13. There will be so many fun-filled attractions and events – we are expecting well over 80,000 in attendance. Now’s the time to apply for the James J. Hill Days Street Market. Plus, Chamber Members will receive a discounted registration rate. If interested in sponsorship, contact Brooke at brooke@wayzatawestmetrochamber.com.
Don’t miss the Annual Member Picnic on Thursday, July 23! Join us at the Chamber Office at the Wayzata Depot on Lake Minnetonka as we celebrate YOU, our amazing members. There will be delicious food and a special ice cream treat from Ben & Jerry’s Wayzata. Let us know you can make it here.
June was an exciting month filled with memorable Chamber programs and community events! We kicked off the month with the 67th Annual Roger Miller Golf Classic, where a rainy start quickly gave way to a fantastic morning of networking and friendly competition. Thank you to our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and raffle donors for making this long-standing tradition another great success.
We also wrapped up the month with the 22nd Annual Wayzata Art Experience, welcoming thousands of visitors to enjoy incredible artwork, delicious food, live music, and family-friendly activities. While Sunday morning’s weather presented a few challenges, our artists, volunteers, sponsors, and attendees showed incredible flexibility and enthusiasm, making it a wonderful weekend from start to finish. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported these events. Stay cool and enjoy your July!
Warm regards,
Matt Schadow
