This presentation will take the audience on a journey through the early history of Wayzata, beginning with its pre-settlement period and progressing through Wayzata’s founding in 1854, including settler’s stories of life in this growing village. The audience will also learn about the arrival of the railroad in 1867 which transformed Wayzata into the “gateway to Lake Minnetonka,” forever altering the history of the lake.
Free, pre-registration is requested as capacity is limited. Doors open at 6:30 pm and seating is first come, first served A $5.00 suggested contribution is appreciated.
